PDF markup for drawings in the UK: Bluebeam or Acrobat, priced in pounds
Bluebeam and Adobe both sell to UK firms at their own UK prices. This page shows those prices exactly as each vendor lists them, and says which include VAT. Short answer: if you measure and mark up drawings every day, trial Bluebeam Core; if you mostly edit, sign and compare PDFs, Acrobat Pro for teams is enough.

Every UK plan, as listed
Bluebeam lists yearly prices per user including VAT. Adobe lists monthly prices per licence on an annual plan, excluding VAT. We show both exactly as listed rather than converting one into the other.

Pick on what you do with the drawings
You take off quantities or measure every day: Bluebeam Core (£330 a year). Basics measures length and area only. Core adds perimeters, counts, angles and volume, overlay and batch compare of revisions, and lets you start and run Studio sessions with your consultants.
You review, comment on and pass drawings on: Bluebeam Basics (£264 a year) lets you mark up and join Studio sessions that someone else starts. Compared before VAT, it costs a little less a year than Acrobat Pro for teams.
You mostly edit, sign, redact and compare documents: Acrobat Pro for teams (£20.22 a licence a month). It runs on Windows and Mac, which Bluebeam's Revu desktop app doesn't. Acrobat Standard (£14.16) leaves out compare, redaction and scan-to-editable PDF.
Automating batch work: Bluebeam Complete adds Quantity Link to Excel, batch hyperlinks, slip sheets and signatures, and scripting.
Drawboard: its pricing page lists US dollars only, so we haven't shown a UK price. The Australian guide covers it.
What to check before you buy
- VAT: Bluebeam's prices include it and Adobe's exclude it. If you're VAT registered you can usually reclaim it, so compare the prices before VAT. VAT is 20% at the standard rate (GOV.UK).
- The annual commitment: Adobe's annual plan billed monthly charges a fee if you cancel after 14 days. Bluebeam bills a year up front.
- Trial on your own drawings: both offer free trials. Calibrate a real sheet to scale and overlay two revisions before you buy seats for the office.
General information, not tax or business advice. Prices change: always confirm on the vendor's site before you buy.
