Privacy policy

What we collect, why, where it's kept and how to have it deleted. Short, because we collect very little.

Studio to Site is a registered business name of an Australian company (ABN 22 703 560 141), based in Queensland. This policy explains how we handle personal information, following the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect, and how

We don't collect payment details, and we don't ask for sensitive information. You can read the whole site without telling us who you are.

Cookies and your browser

How we use it

Only for what you asked for: to send the checklist, new guides, and price changes in the software you follow, and to reply to your emails. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link and identifies us, as the Spam Act 2003 requires. We never sell, rent or swap your details, and we don't use them for advertising.

Where it's kept, and who else sees it

Email addresses are held by our email provider, which may store data outside Australia, including in the United States or the European Union. We only use providers that protect it with access controls and encryption. Nobody else receives your details from us, unless the law requires it.

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and emails you send us for as long as we need them to deal with your question.

Seeing, correcting or deleting your information

You can unsubscribe at any time from the link in any email. To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, email hello@studiotosite.com.au. We'll reply within 30 days and won't charge you.

Complaints

If you think we've mishandled your information, email us first and we'll look into it and reply in writing within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Readers in New Zealand

We handle information from New Zealand readers under the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ) as well, and our emails follow the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007: consent first, our name in every email, and an unsubscribe that works. You can ask to see or correct what we hold, as above. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

Readers in the United Kingdom

Our UK pages have no sign-up form and set no cookies, so we don't collect personal information through them. If you email us, we use your name, address and message only to reply (our legitimate interest in answering you) and delete them once the matter is closed. Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy, a correction or deletion, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date below. If a change affects how we use your email address, we'll tell subscribers by email first.
